As a proud member of Windermere Real Estate I have the great benefit of listening and engaging with Mathew Gardner who is Windermere Real Estate’s Chief Economist.

Mathew’s job is not to sugar coat his communication with us, his job is to provide accurate information on the real estate market and how the economy affects our industry directly. The past year has been tough, no question, people have lost employment due to this nasty pandemic, landlords are being forced to provide free rent, political views are clashing like never before and heightened natural disasters have forced evacuations across the country. However, as we learned in Windermere’s 2021 Kickoff Breakfast (via Zoom… we’re safe) this shouldn’t negatively effect Seattle’s real estate landscape. If you’ve written an offer in the past month you know 2021 hasn’t slowed one bit thus far.

Without further ado, here are the notes directly from Mathew Gardner.

If you’ve thought about buying or selling a home in Seattle please email me, I’d be honored to share my expertise.
